SeniorBridge Expands Services in West Florida
Parent Care Joins SeniorBridge

(NEW YORK, NEW YORK), May 20, 2009 - SeniorBridge, a provider of professional services for individuals requiring care for chronic health conditions, is expanding its business in West Florida. It has acquired Parent Care, a well-established professional geriatric care management company headquartered in Naples, Florida. This acquisition makes SeniorBridge one of the largest providers of home-based health care in the state.

Parent Care was founded in 1998 and has an exceptional reputation for providing compassionate, reliable, and high-quality services to the Naples community. “The dedicated staff of Parent Care shares our concern for enabling people with chronic health conditions to maintain their quality of life and remain safely at home or in the residence of their choice,” said Eric Rackow, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of SeniorBridge. “This partnership will allow us to further expand our ability to support clients with complex care needs in West Florida.” SeniorBridge is extremely pleased that Linda Cramer, MHA, CMC, Founder, is staying with the company as Professional Development Specialist. Ms. Cramer has a Masters in Hospital and Public Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Gerontology, Advanced Professional Status from the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, and is on the Board and President Elect of the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association. Jill Summerscales will be staying on as Transition Consultant. Ms. Summerscales has a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association.

The SeniorBridge integrated system of care in the home encompasses the full range of services. A multidisciplinary care team provides coordinated in-home services, including nursing, psychosocial support, personal care, companionship, and enhancement of wellness to maximize client health. Clinical research has shown that this approach can lead to reduced emergency room visits, unnecessary hospital admissions, and institutionalization for patients with complex chronic conditions. Families experience more peace of mind while individuals are more likely to remain at home with quality of life.
