Rona S. Bartelstone, LCSW, BCD, CMC, C-ASWCM Senior Vice President, Care Management
Since 1974, Rona has been one of the pioneers in geriatric care management and social work. In 1981, she started her own agency, Rona Bartelstone Associates, Inc., to provide integrated services to individuals and families with complex chronic conditions. In her agency’s recent merger with SeniorBridge, Rona’s extensive expertise in comprehensive care management services is a perfect fit. She has also been involved in community education, workshops, training, consultation, and professional conferences on eldercare issues. Rona was the Curriculum Development Team Leader for a Master’s Level CE Certificate Program for Care Managers at the University of Florida. She started out as a geriatric social worker in New York and held several social work, counseling, and professional teaching positions in Florida. Rona earned a BS in Social Work at the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MSW in Planning and Management at Indiana University. She is a past president of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and has written numerous articles and 2 book chapters on eldercare issues.
Susan Fleischer, LCSW, MSSW, ACSW, CMC, CSW-G, CSWM Executive Director
Susan is a highly experienced and dedicated geriatric care management executive. For the past 11 years, she has been Chief Operating Officer of Rona Bartelstone Associates, Inc., a comprehensive eldercare agency that recently merged with SeniorBridge Susan was responsible for the internal operation and business development of its Care Management and Home Health Divisions. Among other previous roles, Susan served as Department Director of Geriatric Services at Jewish Family and Childrens' Service of West Palm Beach; Director of a federal home health-aide program; and Social Service Director of Four Courts Nursing Home. She has given numerous presentations at national and regional conferences on issues of aging and eldercare. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for NAPGCM, and is the Chair of the Chapter Presidents Committee. She was the past President of the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association. Susan holds a Master of Science degree in Social Work from Kent School of Social Work, University of Louisville, Kentucky, and a BS in Sociology with Social Work Certification from the university. She received the Adele Elkind Award of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers in 2006.
Sandra Goldberg, RN Senior Care Manager
With 23 years’ broad experience in geriatric care and healthcare, Sandra joins SeniorBridge from Rona Bartelstone Associates, Inc., where she was Clinical Director of Home Health Services, responsible for management and supervision of home health activities and staffing of aides and nurses and for providing consultation or direct patient care as needed. Before that, she served as the agency’s Director of Nursing. Previously, she also was Head Nurse in a family physician’s practice specializing in geriatrics. A Registered Nurse, Sandra earned an Associate of Science degree in Nursing Technology at Broward Community College and received additional training in Alzheimer’s care with the Alzheimer’s Association of Dade County and PRI and Screen Training Certification at the New York State Department of Health.
William Lichter, MA, CPA Director of Finance
For more than 20 years, William has been involved in broad financial and operational oversight of systems, analysis, and implementation and monitoring of controls for diverse companies and public agencies. Before joining SeniorBridge, William had been a consultant for a start-up business and a real estate management company. Earlier, he had served as the first and only Controller for the Guardianship Program of Dade County and Controller/CEO of Comprehensive Personal Care Services, with full responsibility for development and implementation of financial and operating systems for those agencies. William had also been a Financial Systems Consultant for Northern Telecom and a Controller for realty companies. He earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida and an MA in Political Science and a Certificate in Accounting from the University of Miami.
Madge Delgado, MSW Care Manager
Before turning toward a career in social work, Madge worked for 12 years as a Legal Secretary in General Practice and Title Insurance. She combines her legal secretarial and social work assessment skills in a multidisciplinary approach to benefit geriatric care clients. One of her accomplishments was working with the Social Security office and 95 long-term care residents to obtain Medicaid approvals. For the past 10 years, Madge has been a discharge planner with HMOs, Medicare, and Medicaid. She has worked at the Sinai Plaza Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Claridge House Nursing Home and Rehabilitation, United Home Care Services, and as a Legal Secretary for Hemisphere Title Company and a law office. Madge has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University and a BA in Sociology from Stetson University in DeLand. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Intern and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Linda Gaibel, MSW, LCSW Care Manager
Linda has spent the last 28 years establishing a broad, diverse track record in eldercare. Most recently, she has been a Social Work Consultant for Accolade Day Care Center, a Geriatric Care Manager and Psychotherapist at the Caring Connection, and an Assessments and Geriatric Care Manager at RespiteCare. Linda was previously Assistant Professor of Sociology and Chairperson of the Gerontology Department at Dominican University in River Forest, IL, where she taught courses in gerontology and developed a Certificate in Gerontology Program and curriculum for a BA major in Gerontology. She was formerly Director of the Gerontology Program at Montay College in Chicago. Linda has been a Senior Care Consultant in private practice, a lecturer in adult continuing education, and a Social Worker counseling the elderly and leading care groups. Her Masters degree in Social Service Administration was earned at the University of Chicago and her BA in Psychology, at Brandeis University. Linda has also published articles and presented on topics related to healthy aging, dementia, and caregiving at national conferences.
Barbara L. Harris, MSW, CMC Care Manager
Barbara recently joined SeniorBridge when the company merged with Rona Bartelstone Associates, Inc. Barbara had been a Geriatric Care Manager with Rona Bartelstone Associates since 1998, providing direct client and family support and coordinating and monitoring all service providers, and also facilitated Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Groups. Earlier, she had served as Director of Social Work at Vencor Hospital in Coral Gables. Barbara earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with honors from Florida International University and a Master of Science degree in Social Work from Barry University School of Social Work. She is a Certified Care Manager and a member of the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. Some of her community interests included teaching English and volunteering in the Dade County Public School System, assisting juvenile court judges in the disposition of child abuse cases in the Florida Foster Care Review Project, Inc, and counseling adolescents in a community mental health center.
Linda G. Kartell, LCSW, CPRP Care Manager
Linda has provided psychotherapy services, planned and developed clinical programs, and trained care providers at numerous state and community health services for the past 26 years. Some of her clients have included the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Mental Health Program Offices; South Florida State Hospital, Broward County, and Hollywood Memorial Hospitals; and the Arizona, New Mexico, and South Dakota Departments of Behavioral Health Services. Previously, Linda was Executive Director of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Palm Beach County Affiliate, and Director of Clinical Services, Parent-Child Center, Inc. of West Palm Beach. She has been a trainer, program consultant, director, and instructor in case management. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Social Work Supervisor, Linda has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Barry University and is a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner and Certified Trainer in Case Management. She has presented papers at conferences and published on aspects of case management, mental illness, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
Christine A. Roberts, RN Care Manager
Ms. Roberts joins SeniorBridge from Tender Loving Care, a home health agency in Boca
Raton, Florida for which she was RN, Director of Clinical Services. She has
previously worked as RN, Field Representative for the State of Florida, at Emerald
Medical Management, Inc. in California, and was a Recovery Room Nurse at the
Cleveland Clinic in Ft. Lauderdale. Ms. Roberts also has broad prior experience as an
LPN in various medical specialties. She is active in several community organizations,
including the Alzheimer's Association in Ft. Lauderdale. She obtained her RN and an
associate of science in nursing degree at Broward Community College in Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida.
Nina Rothstein, MSW, MA/CP Care Manager
Until joining SeniorBridge, Nina had been a Social Work Intern at Jewish Family Services of Broward County in Hollywood for 15 years, counseling all age groups in individual, family, and group therapy. She also interned at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, providing discharge planning and patient counseling to different patient populations, coordinating home health care and allied services. Previously Nina also served as an Educational Counselor for Southern Bell, South Florida, counseling employees on opportunities for career enhancement. Earlier, she had taught College Success Skills and Career Planning and counseled women returning to college and the workforce at Broward Community College. Nina had been a psychotherapist at Henderson Mental Health Center in Ft. Lauderdale after obtaining MA and BA degrees in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver. Nina also earned a Master of Social Work degree from Barry University and took graduate courses in Gerontology at Nova University in Florida. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida.
